More Online Time Than Ever

I think we can all relate to the headline of this article. I can of course only talk about me personally but I most certainly spend more time on the computer than I ever did.

I have the advantage that I am able to work from home and already used the computer a lot, but nowadays I am even spending more time staring at a screen and I actually have to cut down.

What is the reason?

There is a reason that I spend more time online lately. I have a lot of birthdays coming up in the coming month.

It is hard to run to the store and buy a present lately. Plus I hate wearing a mask, but that is beside the point.

When I shop for a present I always try to add a little extra and not just grab the first thing on the shelf and let them wrap it.

I can spend quite a lot of time looking for that special gift for the people I care about. Some people think I overdo it, but this is just the way I show my appreciation for them.

Back to the subject, I was side tracked.

What has changed

That is pretty simple to tell since it affected all our lives in the last 6 months. The Covid-19 virus has meshed up all of our lives and forced us to make changes.

This includes the fact that we shop more online than we ever did.

What did I do?

I started looking online to see if I could find a present for a good friend of mine that also like to cook. That makes it easier for me.

One of the first things I stumbled upon after I typed in “personal present for man” in Google, was this website https://personalstartshere.com/for-him/.

What I found there was an eye-opener for me. I did not know that there were so many types of presents available that you can order with some type of customization.

Before I knew I spend a few hours looking at all the tips and ideas on the presents for any person that you can just order online and add your own personal touch to it.

Now What?

I am still not used to the whole shopping online idea. Especially in the way I have to do it now.

I wrote already that I recently started to order more food from web-stores also. Although I miss my visits to the local stores.

From now on I have to limit the hours I spend online and only do it for work or shopping-related things.

But I know almost for sure that shopping for presents is something I will do more from now on.

Just for the simple reason, that is so convenient. I expect that the prices will be more and more competitive in the near future since there are more options will be available.

What about you?

Have you also made some forced changes in your life? If you did or you found ways to still find options to buy in regular stores feel free to let me know.

I am looking forward to see what other people think.
